Sharing My Story on NPR's Morning Edition

I’ve been wanting to do what I can to help Ukraine, as I know so many of you feel the same way. In that spirit, I’ve organized two benefit concerts to aid that country. All proceeds will be donated to Save the Children.

The concerts are already sold out(!) on April 3 and 7.

Part of the backstory to this — I shared my own story on NPR’s Morning Edition, relating how I witnessed friends and family in Georgia experience the Russian invasion in the 90s.

My longtime friend from Juilliard, Ukrainian violinist Marta Krechkovsky who is a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, was interviewed as well on NPR in the same segment. She joins me at the second benefit concert, preceded by Ukrainian violinist/violist and member of the Washington National Opera, Zino Bogachek, at the first concert.

Please take a moment to listen to Marta and I share our stories on NPR’s Morning Edition.
